Music, Food, a Puzzle Competition, and FUN!
The Big Event aka Puzzle
Competition October 10th to support the Cabell County Schools Foundation, was FANTASTIC
With event tickets, MU puzzles and other products sales and donations, we’ve raised over $2,300, but the best part of the evening was all the people having fun and showing each other love. ![]()

I can’t be an artivist (art+activist) without the help of many, many people; I’m grateful for so many:
EVERYONE WHO CAME TO THE EVENT… including the young mom with her two Spring Hill Elementary children who joined Superintendent Tim Hardesty’s team!
The Cabell County Schools Foundation members-volunteers who raise money to provide mini-grants and monetary awards in May to outstanding personnel- came to the event, and they helped me make it happen.
Kindred Communications for scheduling two radio interviews for me.
Martina Bills from WSAZ for interviewing me on her Studio 3 program.
MU newspaper, The Parthenon, for interviewing me and sending a photographer to the event. The article will be in next week’s edition; I’ll link it in PRESS.
FB friends and followers who share my posts, comment, and hit the LIKE button in support of my work.
Real-life friends: Gina, Val, Paula, and Margaret who worked the event and provided emotional support when needed.
Margaret (again) for helping me engineer and fabricate the trophies… out of Cool Whip containers, cardboard tubes, and meat trays!
Mayne Framing Supply and Pam at Scaggs Printing who always do great work for me.
Local shops Wildflower Gift Gallery, Red Caboose, Cicada Books, and Wild Ramp for selling my work-MU puzzles are there now!
Chris, Tootie, Trey, Clay and others in the Student Center who helped make it happen.
All the people who made purchases Friday night of MU products and those who will purchase my MU products and WV 3.0 puzzles and prints in the future… all profits will be donated to the foundation.
All the people I met in buildings across campus, in schools, libraries and downtown (as I passed out flyers) who helped me spread the word.
Folks at Morrow Library who helped with my research.
Springbok puzzle company who shipped a few MU puzzles when a catastrophic mechanical failure delayed my big order.
And my husband, Rick, who helps make it possible for me to live my dreams.
