Painting #2 30/30 Challenge

Old Library painting

An example of Beaux Arts Classicism,

Carnegie Public Library in downtown Huntington,

was the first public library in Cabell County.

Andrew Carnegie gave $35,000 towards its construction

in 1902-1903.

Today, the building houses Huntington Junior College, and

the current Cabell County Downtown Library built in 1980

is across the street.
