…a little history…

If you are new to my website, here’s a quick summary:

After 32 years as a classroom teacher,

I QUIT in 2012 to be an artist.

(I’m sure people thought I was CRAZY!!)

I made stamped metal necklaces…

even in Braille!

And bracelets…

But my focus became decorated cookies…

I even tried my hand at artistically decorated cakes…)

and sometimes combined cookies and cake!

But the time came to paint on a more permanent material!

I started with watercolor on paper...

You may remember last fall I painted

30 paintings of Huntington in 30 days!

I had my first official art show in December

where I sold my original 30/30 paintings, prints, and 2016 calendars.

It was a BLAST!!

This summer I’m painting with acrylic paint

(which is similar to oil paint but dries faster

and is easier to clean up!!)

I’m painting on 1″ deep canvases…

  1. Linda, thank you for the history of your art career. I have always loved your work from the dangly earrings you designed back when we were teaching together to your beautiful artwork of the hometown I grew up in, Huntington. I am enjoying watching the barn wood paintings appear daily as you post them on FB. I cannot decide which flower painting is my favorite. It may possibly be the daisy painting, but you have not painted a barn wood daffodil painting yet…so…..I will wait…to decide. Continue the inspirational work, Linda. I love the way you shine through your creative art. 🙂
