Ritter Park fountain painting

∗Ritter Park∗

My plan for today’s painting was to

 create a companion piece

for the Pullman Square fountain painting;

I really love the colors and the feeling it evokes…so,

I thought the Ritter Park fountain

in the same shades of green, blues and reds

would be just perfect.

Whoa!

This one’s a little crazy.

But I learned a lot;)

I took a photo every 30 minutes

after I finished my drawing and

 started painting.

You can see the craziness happen…

It actually looks pretty cool in person…

just a little wacky!

Stone house painting3

OMGosh…

This is the most intriguing house in Huntington,

don’t you think?

It sits at the end of Edison Dr. on Washington Blvd.

It seems to meander for a mile on a magnificent tree-filled lawn.

I would LOVE to see inside.

Maybe it will be on the Christmas House Tour this year…

I hope so:)

Coffee shop2

Love this little coffee shop on 4th Ave…

Have you been there?

The smells are amazing.

You may have noticed my paintings

are quite different from one another…

not only in the subject matter,

but also in the painting style.

I’m trying different techniques, and

sometimes, I’m not so happy with the results.

Under normal circumstances,

I would trash the painting and forget about it,

but I’ve committed to posting my painting every day…

Ugh.

Ok I just had to say that…

I won’t bring it up again;)
